Grachya Misakovich Pogosyan
Grachya M. Pogosyan was born on the 11th of August, 1970 in the city of Oktemberyan (now Armavir), Armenian SSR, grew up in the village of Agarak in Aragotsotn province of Armenia. He is the citizen of the Russian Federation. He lives in St. Petersburg.
Grachya Pogosyan finished Specialized Republican School after the Marshall of Armoured Forces A.H. Babadzhanyan in 1988 and Chelyabinsk Higher Military Automobile Engineering School in 1995.
He was the platoon leader and then the troop leader of Military unit 01375 in the village of Mga, Kirovsk district, Leningrad region where he was promoted to the rank of captain ahead of schedule.
In 1999 he left the service according to the organizational stuff arrangement. Now Grachya M. Pogosyan is Major General of reserve.
In 2008 he graduated from the State Educational Institution of professional higher education ‘St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation’ with a degree in jurisprudence.
In 2000 he started OOO “Kyufta” that produced Armenian national products and headed it till 2006. In 2002 OOO “Kyufta” was awarded the big gold medal following the results of the competition “The best food products of 2002” at specialized foreign exhibitions “PISHCHEPROMEXPO”, “MYASOMOLPROM” and “INTERFOOD”.
From 2002 to 2004 Grachya Pogosyan represented OOO “Specservicepostavka” as the Branch Director in the north-western region.
Between 2004 and 2008 he was the CEO of OOO “LBPSU” of general construction and restoration works.
Since 2008 he has worked as PR Director at OOO “RosVoenStroy”. The company undertakes general construction and restoration works.
Now Grachya Pogosyan is the advisor of Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council.
In 2017 he established the Grachya M. Pogosyan Charitable Foundation and has been its President.
He is married with 4 children.
Grachya Misakovich Pogosyan is Citizen of Honour of Kirovsk district, Leningrad region; a freeman of the village of Agarak of Aragotsotn province and the village of Tsav of Syunik region of the Republic of Armenia; an honorary member of St. Petersburg’s public society “Survivors of the Siege of Leningrad” and district society of the survivors of the Siege of Leningrad in Kirovsk, Leningrad region; an honorary member of the veterans and soldiership of fellow soldiers from St. Petersburg and Leningrad region Administration.
