At the end of 2018, on December 30, Grachya Pogosyan was awarded a diocesan medal from the Bishop of Gatchina and Luga Mitrophan.
On that day, in the 31st Week in Pentecost, the Right Reverend Father in God Bishop of Gatchina and Luga Mitrofan performed the Divine Liturgy in the Church of St. Mitrophan of Voronezh in Gatchina.
Personal Priest of the Diocese Archpriest Mikhail Yurimsky, rural dean of Gatchina municipality Archbishop Vladimir Feer, Scriniary of the Diocese Archbishop Georgy Preobrazhensky, Beneficiary Priest Nikolay Osyak and Priest Alexander Pozov concelebrated the Right Reverend Father in God.
On completion of a church service the bishop Mitrophan congratulated believers on Sunday and the memory of Saint forefathers, and awarded the philanthropist, famous public figure Grachya Misakovich Pogosyan a diocesan medal of the martyr Maria of Gatchina of the I degree.
The bishop noted Grachya Pogosyan’s charitable work and reminded parishioners of the bow orthodox cross that was presented by Grachya Pogosyan and consecrated in April, 2014 by the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill at the church under construction in memory of the 700th anniversary since the birth of the Reverend Sergey of Radonezh. Also he said that the construction of the Church of St. Mitrophan of Voronezh was supported by the philanthropist as well. For these good deeds the patron was awarded the medal of the martyr Maria of Gatchina of the I degree.
